Fungi are diverse and abundant. They are an integral part of plants and soil communities. This talk will discuss the importance of fungi on agriculture and forest health.

BIOGRAPHY
Dr. Andrea Porras-Alfaro is a mycologist. She studies plant-fungal interactions including fungi associated with orchids, desert plants, and grasslands. She obtained her Ph.D. from University of New Mexico and she is currently a Program Director at the National Science Foundation.
