Senior Scholars Lunch Bunch
Note: Currently Lunch Bunch is on hold due to the Covid pandemic. We will resume as soon as it is safe for our audience.
Lunch Bunch is a gathering of Senior Scholars, after our Friday speaker’s talk, at a nearby restaurant. It’s a great way to make new friends and enjoy old friends.
Sign up and join us for Lunch Bunch which meets once per month (usually the fourth Friday of the month)* at 11:45 PM. Table size varies per restaurant but you will sit with maybe 6 or 8 other members which is a great size to get to know your fellow Scholars.
*Exceptions: the months of May, June, July, August, September, November and December.
Senior Scholars members are invited to dine at Young Dining Hall. Young is located on the first floor of the Trexler Student Center on the main Queens University campus. Their recently re-designed dining hall offers a variety of quality food stations.
Visitors can pay by cash, credit credit or a Queens University Q-Card (a prepaid meal card which offers discounted pricing). To learn more about the Q-Card see “How to get a Q-Card” on our FAQ page. This is another opportunity to get to know more folks. The full-time students dine here also, so just look for us Seniors!
Queens University Resources – Subject to certain restrictions, Queens University offers discounts or limited access to University resources such as sporting events, food services, and library materials. For more information, contact the SSQ Queens Liaison Chairman at email@example.com.
As soon as it is safe to do so we will resume...
Attend the Newcomers’ Coffee/Tea, in Wolfe Hall at PUMC on the first Friday of meeting months at 9:30 AM. You will find us just past the coffee / tea stations.
Come early before the opening 10 AM bell, any meeting Friday, to enjoy coffee or hot tea, meet fellow scholars and make new friends who share common interests.
Attend the winter and spring luncheons (celebrating the holidays in December and spring in June) as they provide an opportunity to meet and mingle with fellow members; perhaps discuss your favorite speaker or who you would like to hear in the future.
