The Future of Human Rights with Alexa Royden

GREAT DECISIONS TOPIC: The Future of Human Rights: Defending and Expanding the Circle
SPEAKER: Alexa Royden, Associate Professor, Queens University of Charlotte
Who counts? It’s the defining question of our time.
For centuries, the circle of rights has been expanding — from property owners to the enslaved, from men to women, from citizens to refugees. Now, at a pivotal moment in history, rights face bold challenges and new opportunities for expansion.
In this talk, we explore the future of global human rights, from rights currently under attack to new rights pushing the boundaries of personhood.
