DESCRIPTION:TOPIC: Catawba History 101: History and Traditions of the Catawba Nation\nSPEAKER: Kassidy Plyler\, Cultural Programs Docent/Exhibit Coordinator\, Catawba Cultural Center\nCatawba History 101 explores the rich 6\,000-year history of the Catawba Nation \n\nBIOGRAPHY \nKassidy Plyler is an enrolled citizen of the Catawba Nation\, born January 24th\, 1992\, and raised in Rock Hill\, South Carolina. \nKassidy currently works as the Cultural Programs Docent and Exhibit Coordinator at the Catawba Cultural Center on the reservation. \nShe has taken the knowledge that she has gained from growing up on the reservation listening to elders and shares it with those eager to learn. She assists with public programming and community cultural classes through dance\, basketry\, and history lessons. She enjoys sharing the history of the Catawba as much as possible. \n  \n
