About Unsubscribing to the Weekly E-mail:
Members may unsubscribe at any time to stop receiving emails. At the bottom of each e-mail is an unsubscribe link to invoke the unsubscribe option. Once clicked and responded to, the system enters that e-mail address on list of unsubscribe addresses. The system never sends mail to unsubscribes.
To reverse the unsubscribe process contact membership who will provide you with instructions.
When are emails sent and how many?
Weekly e-mails are sent as early as Monday or as late as Wednesday before the Friday meeting. We do not meet the months of June, July, August and December.
Our software Benchmarkemail, provides us the number sent and other statistics. We count each e-mail address that appears on the current Senior Scholar 'directory', and reduces it by duplicates and those who have chosen to unsubscribe to determine how many emails should be sent. To this count we add the number of people who have used "Join our weekly email" option and on neither the current 'directory' nor the unsubscribe 'directory.' We reconcile the counts with the number sent to insure accuracy.
What to do if you haven't received a weekly email:
Immediate solution: Use the e-mail archive below to pull down the desired e-mail.
Fix for future emails: Add to your email's contacts: Senior Scholars with the email address: email@example.com
Structural check:Check with membership at the meeting that the email address on the directory is the one that is being checked on your device.
What to do if your weekly email is in JUNK or Promotion:
When the email is sent it normally goes to the member's in-box, however the email reader or spam software on the receiving computer could either place the message in the 'SPAM', 'Junk', etc. or simply reject the message. Look through the "ALL", SPAM or Junk directory to find the e-mail.
Select the email and (check the help menu if necessary) instruct your system to accept email's from: "firstname.lastname@example.org".
If there is still an issue, then contact someone with more technical skills or use a commercial technical resource.
